The chosen theme for the yearbook focused on the theme of passing of time. Color and feather gradients act as motifs to represent the impermanent, fleeting nature of time. To juxtapose this theme, I included the idea of memorials and touchstones we place in our lives to remind us of moments which inspire and motivate us. As we look back on the moments, they serve as a reminder of the hope and good we can cling to in times where we feel small, sad, or weak. These memorials and touchstones placed in the book are symbolically represented by a strong font and a right angle bracket. Even the layout strictly follows a grid to give it a sturdiness and strength amidst the softness of the gradients.
